Thoroughbreds from the world of snooker will be centre stage a Cheltenham Racecourse next year.

That’s because the home of jumps racing will play host to snooker’s World Grand Prix from 4th-10th February.

The tournament, with a top prize of £100,000, is sure to attract the top names such as Ronnie O’Sullivan, John Higgins and Judd Trump.

The event was previously held at Preston Guild Hall and the matches next will take place at The Centaur.

“We are thrilled to bring the World Grand Prix to a new location,” World Snooker chairman Barry Hearn said.

“We are always looking for new locations where we can give fans the opportunity to see the players in the flesh.”
