Frampton United are the early pacesetters in the County Football League after they made it two wins out of two with a thumping 4-0 home win over newcomers Bromley Heath.

Frampton started well and created a couple of half chances in the first couple of minutes and they went closer on seven minutes when Bromley Heath keeper Ryan Hall did well to push a Ryan Vincent free kick around the post.

The home side took the lead on 14 minutes following a corner that found Manolo Marques Espada who drove a crisp shot past Hall from just inside the box.

Espada had another 25-yard shot on goal on 19 minutes and the home side increased their lead on 28 minutes with a good build up and a chip across goal for Espada to head home.

Frampton struck a hammer blow after just 39 seconds of the second half when an in-swinging cross from the left was bundled in by Jack Bartman.

Both Espada and Vincent might have added further goals but with the game entering the final stages a good break down the right by Jack Gardiner saw his pinpoint cross headed in by Ryan Vincent.

Quedgeley Wanderers went down by the odd goal in five at Wick despite going ahead in the 11th minute, when Nathan Payne found himself unmarked in front of goal and he hammered the ball past keeper Joe Pople.

A few minutes later Payne had a glorious chance to make it 2-0 and on 20 minutes Quedgeley’s Kyle James-Bryan was only just wide with a header.

However, the home side drew level on 25 minutes through Sam Thomas and were ahead early in the second half through Mike Hardiman.

They stretched the lead on the hour through Dan Stephens but Quedgeley made it interesting 12 minutes from time when Louis Peyton scored with a penalty.

Hardwicke were awarded two penalties at Hanham Athletic but scored from only one of them as they went down 2-1.

There were, in fact, three penalties in the game with Sam Brown putting the home side in front from the spot as early as the third minute.

Seven minutes later Hardwicke’s Toby Webb was brought down in the box but Bamford saved Paul Carter’s spot kick.

Hardwicke were awarded a second penalty on 39 minutes after Bamford brought down Steve Bick and this time Carter made no mistake from 12 yards.

The score remained that way until five minutes from time when Jack Fry slotted home.

Gala Wilton enjoyed a good day as they thumped visiting Little Stoke 4-1.

Little Stoke actually took the lead 10 minutes before the break through Kieran Williams, but Gala levelled on half time when Martin Smith headed home a Martin Freeman free kick.

Early in the second half the home side went ahead with Smith heading a second, this time from a cross by Kieran Mace.

Jordan Molineux then set up Sam Webb for the third on 55 minutes and Jay Dare rounded off the scoring when he found himself unmarked in the box and neatly chipped the ball over the keeper.

Henbury and visitors Sharpness had to be content with a point each in a 1-1 draw.

Adam Rosser went close for the home side early on and Sharpness had an early chance as well. Alex Gayner gave Sharpness the lead in the first half but Kieran Cooper levelled on 65 minutes.

Other results: Rockleaze R 1 AEK Boco 3; Patchway T v Ruardean Hill R, postponed.
