Fresh from his hottest of hot streaks at the Cheltenham Festival, Mike Edwards is urging punters to get their money on Milansbar in tomorrow’s Grand National.

Edwards, who has been involved in racing for much of his 70-plus years, said: “My selection to win the Grand National is 33-1 shot Milansbar, trained by Neil King and ridden by all-conquering woman rider Bryony Frost.”

“If Milansbar was to win, it will be a moment of history as no woman has ever won the Grand National before.

“Bryony is a very talented rider and on a bit of a roll in big races at present.

“Milansbar won the Classic Chase at Warwick in January over three miles five furlongs, the same race that One For Arthur, last year’s Grand National winner, was victorious in before winning the big race.

“He then followed that up with a gallant second in the Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter in March over four miles two furlongs.

“Milansbar is a proven stayer and is expected to run a big race.”

Edwards, who lives in Guiting Power, tipped eight of the winners at the recent Cheltenham Festival including the winners of the big three races – Native River in the Gold Cup, Altior in the Queen Mother Champion Chase and Buveur D’Air in the Champion Hurdle.
