Wasps and Exeter could produce a first-half try-scoring spectacular in the Premiership final at Twickenham tomorrow but that still won’t stop the parents of Old Patesians under-12s longing for the half-time whistle.

That’s because that’s when the club’s youngsters will be centre stage when they are paraded on the pitch.

It’s their reward for winning the Land Rover County Cup earlier in the season and Matt Cape, Old Pats junior chairman, said: “It will be a great moment for them. They’ve had a fantastic season and fully deserve to be going to Twickenham.

“They’ve done incredibly well this season and the boys have played some really good rugby.”

The team’s head coach is former Old Patesians back row Dave Parry.
