Gloucestershire name side for big county championship game against Surrey

Dursley captain Jack Robson has been called up for Gloucestershire’s make-or-break county championship clash against Surrey tomorrow (3pm).
Robson will play in the second row in Esher with Gloucestershire, who have named 12 Cinderford players in their starting line-up, knowing that a win will secure them a place in the final at Twickenham on Sunday 27th May.

That’s despite them being deducted two points earlier in the week for fielding an ineligible player.

Gloucestershire have already notched up two bonus point wins out of two and with every other team in the six-strong division having lost one of their opening two games, the county still top the table even with the points deduction.

Hertfordshire, who Gloucestershire beat last week, are one point behind them and their final game is at home to Cornwall.

Surrey, meanwhile, are bottom of the table and are the only team yet to win in the division although they did claim a creditable draw in Cornwall a couple of weeks ago before losing in Kent five days ago.

Replacements: M Addis (Newent), T Brockett, G Angell (Old Patesians), R Webb (Newent), W Keenan, J Dean (Newent), C Gellert (Newent).
