Game of Thrones is one of the biggest and most popular TV shows in the world right now, with millions of fans in the UK and all over the world.

The fantasy programme, based on the ‘A Song of Fire and Ice’ book series by George R.R. Martin, features dragons, knights and tells the story of warring families all vying to sit on the Iron Throne.

And with the eighth and final series just over a fortnight away, HBO, the company behind the show, have brought the Iron Throne to Gloucestershire – but anyone hoping to sit in it will have to find it first.

The throne is hidden away in the Puzzlewood Forest in Coleford – a popular site that has featured in ‘Doctor Who’, ‘Merlin’ and ‘Star Wars’ to name a few.

Clues to the throne’s location were given through the official Game of Thrones social media channels, and it was first discovered in Puzzlewood by Alex Bowring and Tom Maullin-Sapey.

It’s now been revealed that there are six thrones hidden in six different countries around the world, each place chosen to represent a part of the fantasy world of Westeros.

Fans of the show will know that Puzzlewood – which was the first of all the hidden thrones to be found – represents the forest beyond The Wall.

But while audiences still have over two weeks to wait for the first episode of the new series, the throne will only be in Puzzlewood for a couple more days, and 5pm on Monday 1st April will be the last chance for any budding Jon Snows or Daenerys Targaryans to sit in the iconic seat.
