Craig Miles has become the second Gloucestershire pace bowler in as many months to announce that he is leaving the county to join Warwickshire.

The 24-year-old seamer follows team-mate Liam Norwell in making the trip up the M5 to join a club that look sure to be playing in Division One of the County Championship next season.

Miles, who made his Gloucestershire debut at the age of 16, has enjoyed a good season in red ball cricket, taking 45 wickets at 22.47.

Miles, like Norwell, has made his name predominantly in the longer form of the game, having taken 236 wickets in first class cricket at 27.82.

An attacking bowler, he has not featured so prominently in white ball cricket.

He had match figures of 8 for 90 in Gloucestershire’s thumping win over Glamorgan, which they completed in Cardiff today.
