Australian Tom Kelly is set to return to Dumbleton Cricket Club in next couple of weeks

Tom Kelly, Dumbleton’s overseas cricketer for 2026, is set to return to England in mid-April in plenty of time for the start of the new season.

The big-hitting 25-year-old made a huge impression in his first season at the club in 2024, scoring a stack of runs in Premier 2 Glos/Wilts of the West of England Premier League.

The South Australian also hit four centuries in the Cheltenham Premier T20, including a masterful unbeaten 110 in the final to set up their seven-run win over Hatherley & Reddings.

“It’s brilliant that he’s coming back,” said Dumbleton chairman David Smith.

Dumbleton will be playing in Premier One of the West of England Premier League this season after winning Premier 2 Glos/Wilts last year. They begin their campaign at Burbage & Easton Royal on Saturday 2^nd May.

It is the first time the club have played in the top tier of West of England cricket and they will also be playing in the ECB National Club Championship, a knockout competition for all the top clubs in the land, for the first time in 2026.

They have been drawn away to Usk in preliminary round two, a tie that will be played on Sunday 26^th April.
