Chay Gambrell at the double as FC Lakeside Reserves book place in Cheltenham League Minor Charities Cup final

FC Lakeside Reserves are through to the final of this year’s Cheltenham League Minor Charities Cup final.

The Division Four high-fliers booked their place with a 5-1 win against Shurdington Rovers Reserves, who play in Division Two.

Lakeside led 3-1 at the break and their goalscorers on the night were Chay Gambrell with two and one each for Scott Edginton, Sam Johnson and Joe Richards. Shurdington's goalscorer was John Lewis.

The game was played at Bishop’s Cleeve, also the venue for the final which will take place on Thursday 21st March (7pm).

FC Lakeside will play Division Three leaders Malvern Vale in the final.

The Junior Charity Cup final, between Andoversford and Bishop’s Cleeve A, will also take place at Kayte Lane, on 28th March (kick-off 7pm).
