Frampton United are confirmed as the runners-up in the County League behind Lebeq United after Stonehouse Town’s 3-1 defeat at home to Wick.

Stonehouse needed to win their final three games to overhaul Frampton but they found themselves 2-0 down at the break and went a further goal behind before grabbing a consolation.

Sam Thomas headed the visitors ahead after eight minutes and Ben Daniels added a second before Max Barker stretched the advantage five minutes into the second half.

The home side were really unlucky in the 64th minute when Adam Ireland got a great cross into the box only to see Adam Philp’s header cannon back off the crossbar.

Stonehouse found the back of the net on 70 minutes from a long cross from the right which was headed back across goal and Adam Philp bundled the ball home.

Other results: Henbury 0 Little Stoke 1; Ruardean Hill R 1 Rockleaze R 0; Southmead CS Ath 1 Hanham Ath 0.
