Cam Bulldogs turn up the heat in Division Two of Stroud Football League with eight wins in a row
Author: Roger Jackson, Posted: Monday, 13th October 2025, 11:30
Cam Bulldogs can lay claim to being the form team in Gloucestershire.
Their 3-0 win at Kingswood on Saturday was their eighth out of eight in Stroud League Division Two, a division they are now leading.
“It’s going really, really well,” said chairman Kevin Davies, who is in his second season in the role.
Cam finished mid-table in 2024/25, so their results are a big upturn on the previous campaign.
“Brad Price has come in as a manager and he’s doing a great job,” continued Davies. "He's a former player at the club.
“He was in charge of Dursley Town’s under-18s last season, he’s brought some of those players with him.”
Saturday’s win took their goal tally for the season to 30 – they’ve conceded just four – and they’ve already hit six past Dursley 3rds, five at Upton St Leonards and four against Randwick and Siddington Athletic.
“The aim is to win promotion,” said Davies. “We’ve got a five-year plan to get back into the Northern Senior League. That’s the level we were at when Brad played for us.”
The top two will be promoted from the 14-strong division but Davies knows that there are no guarantees.
Despite their blistering start, Cam have only a one-point advantage over Longlevens 3rds, albeit the Gloucester club have played a game more.
Third-placed Brockworth Albion Reserves are a further point adrift – they’ve played nine games – and they are the visitors to Cam on Saturday.
“That’s a big game,” said Davies.
Brockworth are the leading goalscorers in the division with 34, but they were beaten for the first time on Saturday when they went down 2-0 at home to Longlevens 3rds.Copyright © 2025 The Local Answer Limited.
