The 22-year-old will become Rovers’ fourth signing of the summer following the end of his contract with fellow League Two side Morecambe.

The former Welsh Under 19 international has over 70 first-team appearances to his name and made an immediate impact at Morecambe following his move from Wolverhampton Wanderers, scoring eight goals in 15 appearances.

He is aiming to carry that form for Mark Cooper’s side at The New Lawn and says he can’t wait to team up with his new strike partners and build on last season’s fifth-place finish.

Collins said: “It’s a great club and when they came in and said they were interested in me, I was very interested in talking to them.

“They are a club on the up. They only came up two years ago and last season showed what they are about, making the play-offs.

“Hopefully next season or the season after we can get promotion.

“I got eight goals in 15 appearances while I was at Morecambe and impressed a lot of managers and that was my aim.”
