Dave Bell added another title to his growing collection when he won the Cirencester Park 10K road run.

This year’s race had a new name – the Autumn Assault – and was run over a different course but the outcome was the same as the 32-year-old retained the title he won last year.

He also, remarkably, matched last year’s time, crossing the line in 32 minutes, 55 seconds.

Although delighted to win, the Cirencester Athletics and Triathlon Club runner was disappointed not to run a sub-32-minute time, which is one of his big ambitions.

Bell’s clubmate James Widdowson finished 37th in 44 minutes, 18 seconds and Ivan Quinlan was 71st in 49 minutes, 21 seconds in a race that saw 248 complete the course.
