Stroud Athletic Club runner Nic Coyle enjoys top-three finish in Stroud Half Marathon
Author: Roger Jackson, Posted: Monday, 27th October 2025, 10:30
Nic Coyle was the leading Stroud Athletic Club runner at the ever-hugely popular Stroud Half Marathon.
Coyle was said by team-mate Alister Liscott to be “by far the best marathon runner in Stroud” earlier this month.
He proved yesterday that he’s very good over 13.1 miles too, finishing third in one hour, nine minutes, 31.2 seconds.
The race was won by Team Bath’s James Lester in 1.07.58.5 with Harry Wells, who runs for Victoria Park & Tower Hamlets, in second place in 1.08.47.8.
The ever-consistent CLC Striders’ Rob Green was fifth in 1.10.29.7 – he was first in the Vet 40 category – while Liscott (1.11.38.6) finished a further two places back.
Liscott, in turn, was two places ahead of his friend and team-mate Matt Hudd, who went round in 1.22.04.1.
Severn Athletic Club’s Alice Tredgett was the first female to cross line, finishing 43rd in 1.19.35, while another Severn AC runner, Andy Munro, won the inaugural 10K which was run alongside the half-marathon. He completed in 39 minutes, one second.
More than 1,460 runners took part in the half-marathon while the 10K had 263 starters.Copyright © 2025 The Local Answer Limited.
