Women’s cancer charity, The Eve Appeal, is holding their annual Go Red Trek on 28th September, starting out from Bourton-on-The-Water. Join them as they trek an incredible 25km and make every mile count to help protect women from gynaecological cancers.

The Eve Appeal is the only UK charity funding research and raising much-needed awareness of the five gynaecological cancers. Every day in the UK, 58 women are diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer and 21 will die. They are determined to change this by raising funds for ground-breaking research focused on developing effective methods of risk prediction and earlier detection, but they need your help.

When you sign up you will receive a welcome pack from Global Adventure Challenges*, information about funding and sponsorship and one-to-one support from The Eve Appeal fundraising team.

The trek is the perfect opportunity to take on a challenge – coming together with friends, family and fellow Eve Appeal supporters. Your support will help them continue to raise much-needed funds and awareness for the women and their families who are affected by gynaecological cancers.

Where does the trek cover?

You will meet in the early morning on Saturday 28th in Bourton-on-the-Water. Here you will register, receive your t-shirt and have an event briefing. The trek then heads out onto the Monarch’s Way where you will walk alongside the River Windrush, passing Clapton-on-the-Hill and Farmington before reaching Northleach. After passing through Northleach, you join the Macmillan Way passing through the small villages of Hampnett and Turkdean, continuing the trek to Cold Aston. The final leg of the trek will join the Gloucestershire Way before moving on to the Windrush Way and then heading back in to Bourton-on-the-Water for a triumphant finish, where you can enjoy some fizz and a hot snack.

Hear from some of The Eve Appeal’s fantastic supporters who took part last year:

“The Trek was extremely well organised with snack stops along the way and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I’d recommend it to anyone. You won’t regret it!” – Josella Brady

“The atmosphere was exciting and everyone was proud to be raising such life-changing amounts of money in such a beautiful place.” – Rosie Needham-Smith
