Cheltenham Harriers’ record-breaking men’s under-17 4x100 metres relay team are enjoying a stunning start to the season.

Just a month after breaking the club’s 39-year-old record, they smashed it again.

This time Cardiff was the venue in a very windy Youth Development League second round fixture.

The team of Leo Malm-Fairbrother, Oscar Beattie, Oliver Marchant and Aidan John ran a very impressive 44.18 seconds, knocking 0.24 seconds off the time they set in April.

“This places them fourth in the UK rankings at the start of the season, the future looks very bright for these young athletes,” said under-17/20 team manager, Jane Woolley.
