Cheltenham Town hero John Brough named as new Cirencester Town manager

John Brough is the new manager of Cirencester Town Football Club.

He takes over from former boss Charlie Griffin who left the Southern League Division One South club at the end of last month.

Brough is a former Cheltenham Town hero, who played a big part in the club’s remarkable run in the late 90s, which saw the club promoted to the Football League for the first time in its history.

He also played for Hereford United, Shrewsbury Town and Newport County amongst others in a playing career that spanned nearly two decades.

As a manager he has taken charge of Bishop’s Cleeve and Cinderford Town, where he won the Southern League Division One title.
