Forest Green Rovers have two key home games in the National League over the next few days

Forest Green Rovers will be looking to end the year on a high when they entertain National League strugglers Truro City tomorrow (7.45pm).

It’s the first of two big home games for Robbie Savage’s men as they chase automatic promotion into the Football League.

They host mid-table Halifax Town on Saturday (3pm) and Forest Green's supporters will be expecting maximum points from the two games.

Forest Green have been at, or near the top, all season – Savage’s first in charge – and there remains plenty of hope that they can return to League Two after their relegation at the end of 2023/24.

They missed out in the play-offs last season but Savage has made a big impression.

The one-time Wales international midfielder has also guided the club into the fourth round of the FA Trophy – they travel to Ebbsfleet on Saturday 10th January – after thumping Weston-super-Mare 4-0 earlier this month.
