The historic Prescott Speed Hill Climb has just played host to the Prescott Historique, one of its most vibrant events of the season.

The action-packed weekend treated motorsport enthusiasts to a stunning trip down memory lane, featuring more than 150 vehicles each day.

The automotive line-up spanned a century of motoring heritage, ranging from pioneering cars of the 1900s to modern classics of the 2000s.

The weekend was a major centrepiece for competitive historic motorsport, hosting rounds five and six of the Bugatti Owners’ Club FASSI Classic Speed Championship.

More than 30 pristine machines competed on a handicap basis each day, with series leader Graeme Hall looking to defend his edge over the father-and-son duo of Tim and Ben Cross.

Sharing the lower paddock were the iconic British sports cars of the Paul Matty Lotus Cars Speed Championship, showcasing beautifully maintained road and race models from Elises to classic Formula single-seaters.

Adding to the on-track spectacle was the appearance of the legendary early 1970s McLaren M10 Formula 5000 car, driven at the event by Mark Davies, which brought the roaring nostalgia of international V8 racing to the Gloucestershire hills.

The excitement also took to the skies as spectators were treated to majestic flyovers by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, featuring a Spitfire on Saturday and a Dakota on Sunday.

It’s fair to say the Prescott Historique delivered a memorable weekend of heritage, community and timeless motorsport passion.
