The new skittles season may be just around the corner but there was still some unfinished business from the previous campaign for the Gloucester Charity League to complete earlier this month.

And a pretty special occasion it was too because it was their presentation evening, with the ever popular event taking place at the Gala Club in Longford.

The trophies were presented by Rich Berry, the league’s competition secretary, and Doreen McClellan from the Family Haven, an organisation in Gloucester that provides a haven for many families with children under the age of five who find themselves in difficult circumstances.

The Family Haven gives parents who are struggling support in the vital job in caring for their children in the early years.

More than 100 teams have signed up for the league in 2019/20 and they will compete across seven divisions.
