Fallon Sherrock, the talk of the darts world and beyond after her stunning performances in the world championships at the end of last year, is heading to Cheltenham next month.

The 25-year-old will compete in the Cheltenham Darts Masters which this year is taking place on Friday 21st February at the Centaur at Cheltenham Racecourse.

And darts sensation Sherrock, who became the first woman to win a match, and subsequently two, at the PDC World Championships, is certainly looking forward to coming to Gloucestershire.

“The last few weeks have been a whirlwind for me but I am loving every minute,” said Sherrock, who hails from Milton Keynes.

“I can’t wait to make an appearance at this year’s Cheltenham Masters. The atmosphere at the Centaur will be electrifying.”

Sherrock, who beat Ted Evetts 3-2 and then Mensur Suljovic 3-1 at the world championships at Alexandra Palace before losing out to Chris Dobey in the third round, will be joined by some top names in Cheltenham.

World number one Michael Van Gerwen is returning for the annual event and the star-studded line-up will also feature two-times Grand Slam of Darts winner Gerwyn Price.

Also, on show will be 2008 world champion Mark Webster, rising star Joe Cullen and World Trophy winner Darryl Fitton.

The legendary ‘King of Bling’ Bobby George will be returning to the racecourse to bring his unique brand of entertainment and razzmatazz to the evening.

George said: “This is always a well-attended event with a fantastic crowd full of darts enthusiasts. I am especially looking forward to this year’s event as there will be an additional ‘Royal’ player in attendance. I’m sure the ladies will get behind Fallon the ‘Queen of The Palace’ on the night.”

Lee Moulson, Regional Head of Sales at Cheltenham Racecourse, Jockey Club Racecourses, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be welcoming Fallon to Cheltenham Racecourse in February after making history.

“She is a fantastic addition to the line-up and I am sure that darts fans are going to be pleased to see her playing on the night in the Centaur.

“The Cheltenham Darts Masters is always a memorable night and I know many people look forward to each year.”
