Gala Wilton are one of the form teams in the County League and they made it four wins out of five with a 5-1 win at Patchway Town on Saturday, a game which saw Ryan Dobbins grab a hat-trick.

There could have been more goals for Gala because James Bowers, Kieran Mace and Dobbins all had chances to score before they went ahead seven minutes before the break through Shay Lyons.

Two minutes later Dobbins got his first and then James Bowers made it 3-0 right on half time.

Gala continued where they had left off in the second half and Craig Powell had his shot cleared off the line by Ollie Bacon. Dobbins then netted his second on 67 minutes and completed his hat-trick on 80 minutes before Patchway got a late consolation through Rafe Pfitzman.

Frampton United are also setting a fast pace after making it four wins out of four with a 2-0 win over Broadwell Amateurs.

Manolo Espada had two early chances for the home side with the first being saved by the keeper and the second cleared off the line.

The home side went ahead on 41 minutes when Jack Bartman crossed into the box to Manolo Espada who slipped past the defender to slot the ball home. Frampton added a second on 60 minutes when Espada was brought down in the box and he hauled himself up to slot the penalty home.

Sharpness are also going well and moved into fourth place in the table with a 4-1 win over Quedgeley Wanderers.

Wanderers’ Rory Cawkwell missed a good chance on three minutes and after several more attacks they took the lead on 17 minutes when Nathan Payne crossed into the box for Dorian Colling to finish off.

However, that was as good as it got for the visitors. Within three minutes the home side were level when Alex Gayner slipped the ball through to brother Dan to fire his shot under Wanderers keeper Tom Farmer.

On 31 minutes the home side went ahead when Ryan Ponting headed in a Brad Hewer corner. Sharpness went further ahead on 65 minutes when Fin Small broke into the box and was brought down.

Brad Hewer’s penalty kick was saved by Tom Farmer but Tom Frankham was following up and drove the ball home. The final goal also came from Tom Frankham after Sam Strickland’s cross had been headed clear but Frankham was following up again to drive the ball home.

Other results: AEK Boco 0 Wick 3; Bromley Heath Utd 0 Hanham Ath 1; Little Stoke 3 Henbury 2; Ruardean Hill R 0 Rockleaze R 1.
