Top racehorse owner JP McManus knows what it takes to win a Champion Hurdle.

His most famous horse – Istabraq – was a three-time winner of the two-mile race at the back end of the last century and the beginning of this.

And Buveur d’Air’s win in the 2017 running of the race was his 50th winner at the Cheltenham Festival.

The Local Answer’s tipster Mike Edwards believes there is more success just around the corner for McManus because he is backing his Epatante, trained by Nicky Henderson and Barry ridden by Geraghty, to win the Champion Hurdle on day one of the 2020 Cheltenham Festival tomorrow.

Mike Edwards’ top tips tomorrow

1.30 – Fiddlerontheroof – Impressive Sandown winner on last outing, Robbie Power on board, highly thought of by his connections.

2.10 – Notebook – Going for five wins in a row, in top form, a festival banker!

2.50 – Mister Malarky – Fourth here in 2019 RSA Chase, should take advantage of his 147 rating, just coming into form.

3.30 – Epatante – Highly thought of mare, coming into the Champion Hurdle on the back of a very impressive Kempton Park victory, expect JP McManus to collect yet another Champion Hurdle trophy.

4.10 – Honeysuckle – Current Irish Champion Hurdler, unbeaten to date, a class horse, expected to extend her winning sequence.

4.50 – Imperial Aura – Good second here on Trials Day, trained locally by Kim Bailey, look no further!

5.30 – Carefully Selected – Trained for this race, Willie Mullins’ best chance of the day. NAP SELECTION.
